Mood Boards are an important tool to demonstrating conceptual direction for Interior Designers. We use Mood Boards throughout the design process. First, we compile inspirational images that as a collection, show the atmosphere, or “mood” we plan to create. Usually, we create a few pages in the beginning for the overall project. As the design process progresses, we edit the content and expand to include specific selections for each room. Mood Boards act as a visual guide for the design, and an important communication tool between client and designer.
